Referee Pathways

Would you like to become a referee? The development pathway for referees sets out the progression of a referee from helping to run Kiwi Hoops games, through to being a FIBA referee at international events.

You may have various aspirations for your refereeing career. You may choose to remain at one level in the pathway, such as your local school or Association competitions, or, you may aspire to develop through the levels, with the aim of refereeing in the National Leagues and at FIBA international events!

The progression in the referee pathway is:
